Parking Rules In St. Charles During Snowstorms
Residents are reminded to move their cars off the streets to make way for plows, city officials said.
ST. CHARLES, IL — With snow in the forecast starting Monday night and continuing through Tuesday night, city officials are reminding those who park their cars on St. Charles streets of the rules surrounding parking during a snowstorm.
The city of St. Charles enacts a citywide parking ban on all streets when three or more inches of snow has accumulated and full plowing operations are underway across the city, according to city officials.
Cars can also not be parked on streets for the 72 hours after the three inches of accumulation has fallen or until the street has been cleared of snow.

Cars left on streets could be towed to a cleared street or a designated parking lot to allow for plowing to continue, and the St. Charles Police Department can being enforcing parking regulations about one hour after the three inches of snow is on the ground.
