'Pure Sunshine': St. Charles Teen Killed In Crash Remembered
The 14-year-old St. Charles boy died in a collision in Indiana while on his way home from a spring break trip with his family.
BOONE COUNTY, IN — A St. Charles teen killed in a crash during a spring break trip earlier this month is being remembered for his generous and caring spirit as well as his disposition that was "just pure sunshine."
Jordan Thomas Laskowski, a middle school student at Wredling Middle School, died in the collision on April 4 in Indiana while returning home from a spring break trip with his mother, grandmother and two sisters, Riley, 12, and Grace, 8.
Riley remains hospitalized with serious injuries sustained in the collision, which happened on northbound I-65 near mile marker 135 in Lebanon. Riley was ejected from the car during the crash, according to media reports and a GoFundMe set up for Jordan's family.

Jordan's family and friends are mourning his death and remembering the teen.
"Some people are born with a disposition that is just pure sunshine along with a soul that understands life more than it should. Jordan was one of those people you could describe as having an 'old soul' with the ability to speak to his generation, as well as converse freely with adults in easy and comfortable way that belied his tender years," according to his obituary. "He was a 'family man' in the sense that he loved nothing more than to be around his family, whether it was around the dinner table, watching sports or making everyone laugh with antics, funny faces, dances, voices and more, giving each memory his own indelible spark. It was told he 'loved hard' and with every fiber of his being, which may explain the depth of his empathy and the breadth of his compassion for others."
