1 Killed In St. Charles Crash: Police
Drivers have been advised not to travel in the area of Silver Glen and Old Homestead roads Tuesday morning due to the collision.
ST. CHARLES, IL — One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash in St. Charles Tuesday morning, police told Patch.
The collision happened at about 8:10 a.m. at Silver Glen and Old Homestead roads.
One person was killed in the single-vehicle collision, Kane County Sheriff's Office Undersheriff Amy Johnson told Patch. There was only one person inside vehicle at the time of the collision, and no one else was injured or killed, she said.

Silver Glen and Old Homestead roads remained closed as of 10:30 a.m., Jonnson said. The roadway is expected to be closed for another 1.5 hours.
Drivers are urged to choose alternate routes.
