Scarecrow Weekend Applications Sought
This year's Scarecrow Weekend will be Oct. 11 to 13 in downtown St. Charles.

ST. CHARLES, IL — While it seems too soon to be thinking about fall — and fall festivals — the St. Charles Business Alliance is already starting to gear up and plan for this year's Scarecrow Weekend.
The popular St. Charles Scarecrow Weekend will run Oct. 11 to Oct. 13. And the St. Charles Business Alliance is accepting applications for those interested in participating in a the scarecrow contest. Applications can be found online and can be submitted through Sept. 15.
Individuals who wish to print out and complete the Scarecrow Contest application can mail or drop off the form to the St. Charles Business Alliance office at 2 E. Main St., St. Charles, IL 60174.

Cash prizes will be handed out to winners in various categories. In the mega/mechanical category (open to all) first places receives $500, second place receives $350 and third place receives $250.
For the business category, clubs/not-for-profit/schools category, and individual category, which is open to all individuals not affiliated with a business or organization, prizes are as follows: first place receives $200, second place receives $150 and third place receives $100.

Voting will take place in person during the Scarecrow Weekend festival.
