St. Charles Celebrates St. Patrick's Day In Style On Saturday

Irish-themed events include the annual parade, Opening Ceremonies featuring Irish music and dancers, and specials from local businesses.

ST. CHARLES, IL — St. Charles will kick off its St. Patrick’s Day festivities in style this weekend with a series of events, including the annual parade that will feature plenty of Irish-themed music and attractions.

Saturday’s celebration will kick off with Opening Ceremonies, which will begin at 10:30 a.m. in the 1st Street Plaza and will be held in conjunction with McNally’s Irish Pub. The Opening Ceremonies will feature Irish dancers, music, and other entertainment, organizers announced.

The annual St. Charles St. Patrick’s Day parade will step off at 2 p.m. at Main and 6th Street, organizers said. The parade will conclude at 4th Avenue and will include award-winning marching bands, colorful floats, and Celtic pipe bands.

Local St. Charles businesses will also be offering a collection of specials for the celebration, including Le Mesa’s corned beef tacos, coffee concoctions for Coroco Coffee as well as Kimmer’s St. Patrick’s Day-themed ice cream flavors, and Sparkle Cone.
