ST. CHARLES, IL — No one was injured in a fire in St. Charles Wednesday afternoon.
The St. Charles Fire Department responded to the blaze in the building at 975 N. 5th Avenue at about 3:40 p.m., according to a news release from the fire department. Firefighters found the blaze on a cooktop in the main kitchen.
No one was injured in the blaze and the fire was brought under control within 10 minutes.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
