St. Charles Home Damaged By Fire

The St. Charles Fire Department was called to the blaze in the 500 block of South 16th Street at about 7 p.m. on Saturday.

ST. CHARLES, IL — No one was injured in a blaze that left a St. Charles home uninhabitable over the weekend, authorities said.

The St. Charles Fire Department was called to the blaze in the 500 block of South 16th Street at about 7 p.m. on Saturday, according to a news release from the fire department. Firefighters arrived within five minutes and quickly extinguished the blaze.

The fire caused $15,000 in damages and has left the home uninhabitable. No one was injured in the fire and the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
