St. Charles Man Charged With Possessing Child Porn

ST. CHARLES, IL — A St. Charles man faces child pornography charges following his arrest earlier this month.

Christopher Hinman, 44, of the 39W block of Deer Run Drive in St. Charles, has been charged with four counts of child pornography - dissemination and 16 counts of child pornography - possess moving depiction.

An investigation by the Kane County Child Exploitation Unit determined Hinman disseminated and possessed multiple videos and images of child pornography, according to a news release from the Kane County State's Attorney's Office.

The Illinois Attorney General’s Office and the Internet Crimes Against Children’s Task Force assisted in the probe.

Kane County Judge Mark Pheanis ruled that Hinman be detained to the Kane County jail
while his criminal case is pending. He is next expected in court on Dec. 28.
