ST. CHARLES, IL — A St. Charles man is facing charges after what authorities said was his fifth drunken driving arrest on April 6. According to the Daily Herald, Kane County court records and authorities reported 43-year-old Raymond B. Manning, of the 6N900 block of Riverside Drive, faces charges of aggravated DUI-fifth offense, aggravated DUI-license revoked, and no insurance, all stemming from a Saturday night traffic stop. Court records show manning was driving his 2006 Jeep westbound in the 2700 block of East Main Street in St. Charles, when he was stopped at 10:17 p.m., according to the Daily Herald.

St. Charles Deputy Police Chief Erik Mahan, the department spokesman, said an officer was driving behind Manning and ran his vehicle's registration, which showed Manning's license was revoked, and pulled him over. Mahan also said Manning admitted he had been drinking, and ended up failing field sobriety tests, the Daily Herald reported, adding that Manning did however refuse chemical tests, and his jeep was impounded.

According to court records, the Daily Herald said Manning was arrested and charged in February 2003 in Wheaton for DUI and several other charges, in addition to a February 2005 arrest by Windfield police on charges including DUI.
