During Keegan’s tenure in St. Charles, a new police station was built, and a new public safety training center opened that serves 35 Chicago-area police departments. The department also worked with the Kane County State's Attorney Office on a special unit to help combat child exploitation and internet crimes, and led the investigation that broke up a human trafficking ring.
“When I joined the City, I was impressed by the Police Department’s commitment to serving the community and the exemplary initiatives underway,” said City Administrator Heather McGuire. “With Chief Keegan’s guidance, those initiatives were successfully realized and have further enhanced the department’s service to the community.”
