“The City’s arborist will review the parkway to determine which trees will be the best fit for each location,” said Public Services Manager A.J. Reineking. “The spacing of existing trees, the proximity to hardscapes, and the height of overhead power lines are all things to take into consideration when choosing a parkway tree.”

All requests must have an approved parkway review before a tree order can be placed, according to a news release. Once approved, residents will receive a confirmation letter, an order form and details on how to order a 50/50 parkway tree. The deadline to order is August 16.
