Toys For Tots In Full Swing In Kane County

KANE COUNTY, IL — While you’re checking off holiday gifts for family members, don’t forget the kids who aren’t on anyone’s shopping list and pick up some items for the Toys for Tots campaign in Kane County.

Sponsored by the Marine Corps Reserves, Toys for Tots is organized locally in St. Charles and Kane County by Javier Martinez

Besides dropping off new, unwrapped toys at several drop-off locations, people who want to support the campaign can also donate online. Here’s what you need to know in Kane County:

The Kane County Toys for Tots is accepting toys for age groups from infant to 14 years old. but has a great need for girls and boys 18 month and younger and for girls and boys ages 11 to 14 years old. All toys were supposed to be dropped off at the Toys for Tots warehouse in Batavia this past week and toy distribution is slated to get underway in the coming days.

The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is an IRS-recognized nonprofit public charity created in 1991. The foundation, created in 1991, uses 97 percent of every donation to buy toys for children in need.
