ST. CHARLES, IL — Live music on the First Street Plaza and a wristband system that would allow downtown businesses to serve to-go drinks for guests to enjoy while on the plaza are among the proposed changes to a revived Unwind Wednesday that could be coming back to St. Charles this summer.

The St. Charles Business Alliance is proposing bringing back Unwind Wednesdays, which was a popular downtown concert series that dissipated before the pandemic. The plan is to have the first event on June 11, according to Shaw Local News Network.

The St. Charles Government Operations Committee reviewed plans for the new Unwind Wednesday during a March 3 meeting, and the St. Charles City Council is expected to vote on the proposal during its March 17 meeting, according to Shaw Local News Network.
