Upgrades Planned For These St. Charles Streets This Summer
The city's street rehabilitation project gets underway this week, city officials said.

ST. CHARLES, IL — The city of St. Charles 2025 street rehabilitation project is expected to get underway this week. As part of the program, utility structure point repair and replacement work will take placer at various locations around town.
Concrete replacements and road work will start toward the middle of June. By the end of this year's street rehab project, nearly 13.8 miles of roadway throughout the city will be improved, according to a news release from the city of St. Charles.
Construction will be split up into three phases:

- Phase I: Utility, sidewalk, curb, and driveway repairs
- Phase II: Street rehabilitation work, including pavement grinding, patching, fresh oil, and new asphalt pavement
- Phase III: Parkway restoration and permanent pavement marking installation

Residents on the streets scheduled to be resurfaced should have received a letter in the mail from the public works department with additional information. The entire project is expected to be completed by early October 2025.
