Whole Foods In St. Charles Inches Closer To Opening

City officials said the project is in the second phase of construction and the store is set to open this spring.

ST. CHARLES, IL — Whole Foods Market in St. Charles is still on track to open this spring, city officials said this past week.

Cindy Kaleta, administrative assistant with the city of St. Charles, said the project is in the second phase of construction. The store, located at 300 S. 2nd Street, will be located in the former Blue Goose Market.

The second phase of construction includes work by Whole Foods to build out the store interior and exterior signage, according to city documents. The first phase involved work by the property owner to reconstruct the parking lot, which included updates to the city-owned parking lot at the southwest corner of Illinois and First streets.
