Woman, 46, Dies In Single-Vehicle Collision Early Saturday
The collision happened at about 2 a.m. Saturday near Randall and Stearns roads.
SOUTH ELGIN, IL — A 46-year-old South Elgin woman has died in a single-vehicle collision that happened in South Elgin Saturday morning.
Police said Erin M. Vitale died at a suburban hospital following the collision near Randall and Stearns roads at about 2 a.m., the Daily Herald is reporting. The collisions happened when a 2021 Kia Sorento headed north on Randall Road left the roadway after crossing Stearns Road and hit a traffic sign, streetlight pole, electrical utility pole and a tree before coming to a stop.
