WHEATON, IL — Two DuPage County men have been charged with child pornography after police say they found pornographic images and videos of children on their electronic devices.

Jordan Erdakos, 26, of Warrenville, and Joseph Gregoire, 38, of Lombard, were each charged with possession of child pornography and child pornography — reproduce or distribute.

Police searched Erdakos's home on July 30 after the Warrenville Police Department got a lead that Erdakos had child pornography images on his cellphone. Officers who searched his phone reported that there were "hundreds of videos and images of child pornography" on the phone, a news release said. He was taken into custody July 30.

Police had also been tipped off that Gregoire had been sharing pornographic images of children. A search warrant of his home was executed July 31. Officers reported finding pornographic videos and images of children on a cellphone and two computers. Police say Gregoire had shared some of the videos and images online. He was taken into custody that day.

Both Erdakos and Gregoire have been denied pretrial release and are being held at DuPage County Jail.

“The allegations that both of these men were not only in possession of child pornography but were actively sharing it with others are revolting,” DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said in a news release.

He added, “Each of these disgusting images and videos allegedly found on Mr. Gregoire’s and Mr. Erdakos’ devices, some of which depict infants and toddlers, represent yet another innocent victim of child pornography. The charges filed against these two men in as many days sends the message that in DuPage County, we will not hesitate in charging anyone suspected of possessing or distributing child pornography."

Erdakos and Gregoire are both set to appear in court on Aug. 26.
