More Than 40 Tickets Issued During DuPage County Safety Crackdown
The DuPage County Sheriff's Office increased patrols during the Fourth of July holiday to target impaired drivers.
DUPAGE COUNTY — More than 40 tickets were issued during a recent traffic safety crackdown in DuPage County. The initiative, which coincided with the Fourth of July holiday, was part of a statewide campaign to combat impaired driving.
No impaired driving arrests were made by the DuPage County Sheriff's Office during the period of increased enforcement.
The following tickets were issued:

- Speeding: 17
- Distracted driving: 12
- Seatbelt violation: 5
- No valid insurance: 3
- Improperly displayed license plates: 2
- Driving with license plate covers: 1
- Driving without headlights: 1
- Expired license plates: 1
- Disobeying a stop sign: 1
- Disobeying a traffic light: 1
- Improper lighting: 1
One person was arrested for driving with a suspended license, according to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office.
