Sheriffs Increase Patrols For Fourth Of July In DuPage County

The DuPage County Sheriff's Office will be out in full force through July 4.

DUPAGE COUNTY — The DuPage County Sheriff’s Office will be out in full force for a statewide Fourth of July traffic safety initiative.

The increased patrols will be in effect June 21 through July 4 .

“It’s a straightforward message: If you're behind the wheel, stay sober. Don’t drink, use marijuana, or consume any other impairing substances before or when driving,” DuPage County Sheriff James Mendrick said in a statement.“Our officers will be on duty around the clock, dedicated to enforcing traffic laws and, most importantly, saving lives.”
