Yorkville Man, 21, Shared Illegal Digital Files Of Child Pornography: PD

An internet tip led investigators to charge the Yorkville man with dissemination of child pornography, officials said.

YORKVILLE, IL — A Yorkville man has been accused of disseminating digital files of child pornography, Yorkville police said Friday.

Andrew Lasater, 22, is facing five counts of dissemination of child pornography.

The Yorkville Police Department received an internet tip in March that Lasater was in possession of illegal digital files. Investigators soon executed a search warrant at his residence in the 400 block of Norway Circle and collected evidence that they submitted to the Office of the Illinois Attorney General for digital forensic examination.

Lasater was taken into custody on Aug. 11, without incident, and brought to the Kendall County jail.

The Yorkville man made his first court appearance on Aug. 12 and was released on conditions set by the Illinois Safe-T Act.
