Harassment call in Evansville turns into DUI arrest (tristatehomepage.com) — Evansville police say a woman called 911 late Saturday, reporting a man was following her from work to a gas station on Green River Road, where officers later found him asleep in his vehicle. After noticing signs of intoxication, officers detained and arrested the Terre Haute man, who was then taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail on suspicion of DUI-related charges.

EPD say coach started fight at elementary basketball game (tristatehomepage.com) — Evansville police are investigating a late-night disturbance at Highland Elementary School after a referee reported being shoved and threatened by an assistant coach during a 1st–2nd grade basketball game. Officers say the suspect left before they arrived and has not yet been located, but no active fighting was underway when police reached the gym.
   

3. Balloon release held for Indianapolis man killed in shooting at Kentucky State University (fox59.com) — A man from Evansville has been charged in a Kentucky State University shooting that killed 19-year-old De’Jon Fox Jr. Family and friends in Indianapolis honored Fox with a balloon release outside his former high school, remembering his upbeat spirit despite frigid, snowy conditions.
   

4. Evansville reacts to Fernando Mendoza's Heisman Trophy win (14news.com) — Evansville Hoosier fans are buzzing after Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza captured the Heisman Trophy and led IU to a 13–0 season and Big Ten title. Local residents say the win brings new excitement to the program, and they’re eager to see if their Heisman winner can now deliver a national championship as the Hoosiers enter the playoff as the top seed.
