• Davenport man arrested after high-speed eluding in stolen vehicle (ourquadcities.com) — A Davenport resident is being held in Scott County Jail without bond after Bettendorf police say he led them on a high-speed chase in a vehicle reported stolen from Davenport. Court documents describe speeding through a red light, suspected drug paraphernalia, and an open alcohol container, with a preliminary hearing set for December 23.
   

• QCA pet rescue uses creativity to foster adoptions (kwqc.com) — A Davenport no-kill shelter, King’s Harvest Pet Rescue, is at capacity and using some creative “celebrity” puppy names to draw attention to dogs and cats needing homes. Staff say adoptions are lagging while intakes climb, and they’re urging residents to adopt, donate, or volunteer, including at a volunteer-training event and through online applications.
