Weather Siren Announcement

Due to an unforeseen technical issue, the weather sirens in Scott County, Iowa, went off unexpectedly. 

Today, Sunday 12/12/2021, at approximately 06:55 AM, several of the outdoor weather sirens for Scott County, Iowa, sounded unexpectedly.  The sirens were not intentionally activated to notify the public of severe weather or pending emergency.  Technicians are working to identify what caused the problem and make the needed repairs. 

At this time, per the National Weather Service, Scott County, Iowa, does not have any pending concerns for severe weather.
