Memory Care Seniors Dance in Flash Mob at Farmers Market
Morningside Place residents joined together for a spontaneous and energetic dance in Overland Park.

Locals found more than just summer produce at the Overland Park Farmer’s Market. They were treated to a surprise, flash mob by seniors from Morningside Place, an Anthem Memory Care community in Overland Park. Over a dozen 80 plus-year-olds boogied to “Staying Alive” by the Bee Gees with a spontaneous dance for fun and fitness.
“Alzheimer’s is a devastating disease, but that doesn’t mean life with Alzheimer’s has to be,” said Jessica Johnson, life engagement director for Morningside Place. “Living with Alzheimer’s means finding new ways to connect and thrive. We’re here to show that even in the face of memory loss, there’s still room for fun, laughter and meaningful moments for our residents.”
Morningside Place is located at 6921 W. 81st St., Overland Park.
