• K-State hires new GM, special teams coordinator with ties to Kansas City metro (kctv5.com) — An Overland Park native is returning closer to home as Kansas State football hires Bishop Miege alum Stanton Weber as its new special teams coordinator. Alongside fellow K-State alum Trey Scott as general manager, the moves deepen the Wildcats’ ties to the Kansas City metro and give local fans fresh reasons to follow the program’s next chapter.
   

• These 2 Kansas cities are among the most sinful in the United States (cjonline.com) — Overland Park residents might be relieved to know the city ranks a relatively low 166th on WalletHub’s new list of America’s “most sinful” cities, far behind Wichita at 39th. The report scores 182 major cities on seven vice-related categories, from greed and jealousy to excesses and vices, using 37 different behavioral and lifestyle metrics.
   

• First-year Huskers boost MotoAmerica through inaugural Business Battle (unl.edu) — An Overland Park freshman, Vivian Beck, is among nearly 1,000 first-year business students at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln gaining real-world experience through a new “Business Battle” competition with MotoAmerica. Another Overland Park student, Isaac Winkler, was on a winning team, showing how local grads are plugging into hands-on business education just up the road.
