- The groundbreaking ceremony took place for Bowling Green Fire Station 5 on Porter Pike, which will also serve as the Public Safety Training Center for both the fire department and police department. The facility will have additional functions as the city's Alternate Emergency Operating Center and backup dispatch. Notably, this will be the first joint police and fire academies. Construction is anticipated to finish by 2024, and the event was attended by first responders, city commissioners, and Mayor Todd Alcott. (WBKO)
- The 400 Mile Yard Sale is scheduled to take place from Jun. 1-4! The event offers a vast selection of items along Highway 68. Participants can visit 400Mile.com to access a personalized map based on their shopping day, area, and item category, as well as discover unique eateries, coffee shops, and accommodations in each county. - Trevor Casteel, a 27-year-old man from Chattanooga, Tennessee, is still being sought by Metropolitan Nashville police in connection with the reported rape of a Western Kentucky University student in Nashville. Casteel and Joseph Farmer are accused of sexually assaulting the victim, with Farmer already having been arrested. The victim recalls being in Nashville on May 4 before losing her memory, and she believes she may have been drugged before being sexually assaulted in a vehicle that night.
