Community honors shooting victim with peace walk (wbko.com) — Bowling Green neighbors joined a peace walk to honor Tyreque Resean Morrison, killed in a September shooting at his home, while his family pressed for more transparency from investigators. Relatives say they learned of related indictments through social media and vow to keep speaking out, even as the Warren County sheriff notes the case is closed unless new evidence emerges. 
2. BGHS celebrates cultures of student body (bgdailynews.com) — Bowling Green High School recently turned its campus into a multicultural showcase, with students from 25 countries sharing food, traditions, and stories about life in Bowling Green and abroad. Immigrant and exchange students spoke candidly about racism, belonging, and the support they’ve found here. The event highlighted how diversity is shaping the school’s culture and everyday relationships.
3. Judy Kathleene Thomason (beechtreenews.com) — Bowling Green readers may remember Judy “Kathy” Thomason from her book reviews in the Amplifier, where she shared her love of reading with the local community. The 71-year-old Nashville resident and former WLBQ radio personality passed away November 27, and her family encourages memorial donations to animal shelters she supported instead of flowers.
4. GM Halts 3/4-Ton and One-Ton Truck Assembly, Lays Off 6,000 Workers (motorbiscuit.com) — GM’s Bowling Green Corvette plant will shut down for about a month this winter, temporarily laying off most of its 1,100 workers but promising to bring them all back. Local UAW president Charles Laster says the extended downtime is for additional factory work, even as another GM plant in Flint faces similar weeks-long closure and speculation about deeper motives.
5. Teams make move in Daily News Top 10 (bgdailynews.com) — Bowling Green High’s boys and girls basketball teams both slipped a spot in the latest Daily News Area Top 10, with the girls falling after a loss to Allen County-Scottsville. Barren County still tops both polls, while Warren Central leads the boys. Several other nearby programs, including South Warren and Greenwood, are also climbing or holding steady.
