BRASS launches new children's program in Bowling Green (wbko.com) — Bowling Green families will soon have a free weekly BRASS children’s group focused on building kids’ confidence, social skills, and emotional resilience through creative activities. Starting Jan. 12, the program will serve ages 6–11 and 12–17, and organizers are asking parents to register in advance by phone.

Bowling Green firefighter urges Christmas tree fire safety (wbko.com) — A Bowling Green firefighter is urging residents to take extra care with live and artificial Christmas trees this season, stressing that tree fires can be far deadlier than most home fires. He recommends watering live trees every two days and avoiding overloaded or altered light strands and extension cords so local families can celebrate safely.
