Hope for the Holidays: Goodwill Kentucky offers support for Bowling Green residents in need - WNKY News 40 Television (wnky.com) — Bowling Green residents struggling this holiday season can walk into Goodwill Kentucky’s Opportunity Center on the 31-W Bypass for free help with jobs, housing, finances, and more—no appointment needed. Throughout 2025 the center has served hundreds of locals, connecting them with paid work opportunities, career coaching, and barrier-reduction resources designed to build long-term stability well beyond the holidays. 
2. Fox-Ezell named co-director of Warren County Library - WNKY News 40 Television (wnky.com) — Bowling Green residents will see a familiar face in a top role at Warren County Public Library, as longtime staffer Laura Beth Fox-Ezell has been promoted to co-director. She’s credited with expanding educational outreach, supporting major initiatives like The Capitol Arts Center and SoKY Center, and is even writing a book on the library’s growing influence.
3. ‘Laid Off Today' GM Pauses Corvette Production (motorbiscuit.com) — GM is pausing Corvette production in Bowling Green for about a month, temporarily laying off most of the plant’s 1,100 workers until at least January 12. Union leaders say full-time employees will receive holiday pay plus unemployment and supplemental pay, while temporary workers won’t get sub pay and may look for other jobs amid speculation about GM quietly trimming its temp workforce.
4. NHRA unveils 2026 NHRA Hot Rod Heritage Series schedule (nhra.com) — Bowling Green will host the National Hot Rod Reunion at Beech Bend Raceway Park June 18–20, 2026, as part of NHRA’s 75th Anniversary Heritage Series. Local racing fans can look forward to Top Fuel nostalgia dragsters headlining a packed national schedule that also visits tracks across the U.S. and Canada.
5. Season of Giving for Salvation Army - WNKY News 40 Television (wnky.com) — If you hear bells outside Bowling Green stores this month, those Salvation Army red kettles are collecting donations that stay right here to help local neighbors in need. Captain Johnny Horton says kettles will be out through Christmas Eve, and residents can also give online if they miss a bucket on a rainy or snowy day.
