  1. This weekend, Ice Cream and a Moo-vie will return to Chaney’s Dairy Barn. On Friday, Jun. 16 and Saturday, Jun. 17, "Minions: The Rise of Gru" will screen on the side of the barn for families, with a variety of other family-friendly movies scheduled to be shown throughout the summer. This weekend, a 5k and kids race will take place before the movie to benefit Stuff the Bus — while the movie screening is free, Chaney's requests that those who wish to take part in the race bring cash to benefit the organization.   2. The Medical Center at Bowling Green announced that it is investing in lung biopsy technology, a robotic-assisted bronchoscopy platform that will offer doctors stability and precision during procedures. The technology will aid in detecting earlier stages of lung cancer. (WBKO)
  3. The Federal Emergency Management Agency recently approved over $2.4 million for repairs to the Warren Rural Electric Cooperative Corporation that were needed as a result of severe storms, flooding, and tornadoes that occurred back in December 2021. FEMA approved $450,509 for workers' pay and overtime, $84,159 for equipment, $640,220 for materials, and $1,512,460 for repairs to the power distribution system. (WBKO)
