  1. The Jackrabbit Jog, including a 5K, kids fun run, and a five-mile run, took place at Kereiakes Park in Bowling Green on Memorial Day, benefiting the PKD Foundation's research on Polycystic Kidney Disease. The event aimed to raise awareness about PKD in the local community and honor those affected by the disease. Another Jackrabbit Jog is scheduled for September in Hopkinsville, and updates can be found here. (wnky.com)
  2. The Richardsville Fire Department responded to a structure fire on North Spruce Lane, which is now being investigated as a suspected case of arson by the Kentucky State Police (KSP). The fire caused heavy smoke and required assistance from other fire departments to extinguish. The structure was found fully engulfed later that night, prompting the Warren County Sheriff's Office to call in a KSP arson investigator. No injuries have been reported, and additional details have not yet been disclosed. (wnky.com)
  3. On Memorial Day, community members gathered at RX Fitness to participate in the "Murph Challenge," a workout created 15 years ago to honor Lt. Michael Patrick Murphy, a fallen Navy SEAL officer. The challenge involved running a mile, completing 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 squats, and running another mile. Participants had the option to wear a 20-pound vest or body armor for an additional challenge, and the event also included a cookout and socializing afterward. (WBKO)
