  1. Sleep in Heavenly Peace of Bowling Green is a nonprofit organization that aims to provide bunk beds to children aged 3-17 who are experiencing homelessness or cannot afford a bed. Partnering with Lowes in Franklin, the organization has already delivered over 50 beds to kids in the local community. Volunteers emphasized the importance of giving back to those in need and the positive impact a bed can have on a child's life. (WBKO)
  2. United Way of Southern Kentucky has announced its investment plans for 26 programs in Warren County, totaling over $630,397. The funds will be allocated to local education, health, income, and safety net programs, benefiting organizations such as the Family Enrichment Center and Boys & Girls Club of Bowling Green. These investments will be effective from Jul. 1 to Jun. 30, 2024, as part of United Way's commitment to the 10-county Barren River Area Development District. (Subscription: Bowling Green Daily News)
  3. The Center for Courageous Kids (CCK) has expanded its campus with three new additions this summer, including the Critter Club, an extension to the tree house village, and a fire ring. The Critter Club provides educational opportunities for children to learn about animals and their care, featuring guinea pigs, a hedgehog, and a bearded dragon, along with resources on animal life cycles. CCK also unveiled the Discovery Lodge in their tree house village, offering a space for therapeutic activities such as art and music therapy, and Fisher Contracting contributed a new campfire ring and miniature amphitheater area to the campus. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the museum's latest exhibit, "The American Love Affair," which showcases the history of Corvettes from 1953 to the present, including a sneak peek at upcoming models arriving next year.   • Goodwood Brewing Company has announced the expansion of their "GameYard Social" concept to downtown Bowling Green, offering an indoor and outdoor space for gathering and entertainment.
