$10,000 Awarded to Habitat for Humanity of Pulaski County
Community Supporters Helped Double the Donation by Voting for Their Agent Giving Story

Thanks to the support of the community, South Central Insurance Agency has officially awarded a $10,000 donation to Habitat for Humanity of Pulaski County, a nonprofit committed to ensuring that everyone has access to safe, affordable housing. The $10,000 donation will enable Habitat to complete essential home repairs for multiple homeowners, such as replacing windows and doors or winterizing homes. It could also fund materials to replace two complete roofs or install waterproof flooring in four homes.
Initially, South Central Insurance Agency received a $5,000 donation for Habitat for Humanity of Pulaski County through the 2025 Make More Happen™ Awards by Liberty Mutual® and Safeco Insurance®. A story showcasing the partnership was featured on the official Make More Happen microsite, https://www.agentgiving.com/making-critical-repairs-to-keep-people-in-their-homes/, where community members had the chance to vote and leave comments. Upon reaching the goal of 500 votes and comments, the donation was doubled to $10,000.
“Recognizing independent agents’ dedication to their communities and nonprofit partners is what the Make More Happen Awards are all about,” said Steve Milby, Liberty Mutual MidAtlantic Senior Territory Manager. “South Central Insurance Agency is a shining example of how agencies can make a real difference, and we hope sharing their story inspires others to support affordable housing efforts.”
