Lexington Police are searching for a bank robbery suspect (wtvq.com) — Lexington police are investigating a Saturday afternoon robbery at the Chase Bank on Alysheba Way, where a masked man passed a note demanding cash and escaped on foot. No one was hurt, but officers are asking anyone who saw suspicious activity nearby to call Lexington Police or submit an anonymous tip to Bluegrass Crime Stoppers. 
2. Manchester and Laurel County Officers Honored by U.S. Attorney at 2025 Law Enforcement Excellence Awards in Lexington (clayconews.com) — Lexington hosted the U.S. Attorney’s 2025 Law Enforcement Excellence Awards, recognizing officers for major work on violent crime, drug trafficking, fraud, and child exploitation cases across Eastern Kentucky. 3. 4. NKU among recipients of final round of grants from CPE's Healthcare Workforce Investment Fund (nkytribune.com) — A statewide healthcare education grant program recently held its recognition luncheon at the Campbell House in Lexington, spotlighting millions in scholarships for in-demand medical careers. The final round of Healthcare Workforce Investment Fund awards supports nursing, paramedicine, counseling, imaging, and dental assistant training at colleges across Kentucky, including University of Kentucky partnerships that will help build the region’s future healthcare workforce.
