Additionally, throughout the area, McDonald’s locations are offering several new benefits, including an exciting opportunity for gamers. Employees have the chance to join a McDonald’s Esports Crew League and compete for cash and bragging rights. These leagues, thanks to a unique partnership with professional esports organization Gen.G, allow McDonald’s Crew to join a gaming league where they compete against other Crew from around the country in some of their favorite video games like Super Smash Brothers, FIFA, or Rocket League.
“We all want to work at a place that supports and celebrates us and you get that at McDonald’s,” adds Emily Kasselmann, a McDonald’s franchisee who owns restaurants outside of Louisville. “McDonald’s has so much to offer, whether that’s great pay or a flexible schedule. But most importantly, it’s a fun and family-focused work environment that you don’t see anywhere else.”

Crew members can also earn a high school diploma, take ESL classes, get tuition assistance and receive free guidance from advisors through Archways to Opportunity at participating locations. For more than six years, Archways to Opportunity has provided support for McDonald’s diverse crew member community. More than 50 percent of workers enrolled in the program are individuals who identify as people of color and almost two-thirds of participants are women.
