Louisville – Goodwill Industries of Kentucky will attend the Budget Committee meeting, chaired by Councilman Bill Hollander (D-9), on Thursday, February 24, at 5:00 p.m.

Louisville – Goodwill Industries of Kentucky will attend the Budget Committee meeting, chaired by Councilman Bill Hollander (D-9), on Thursday, February 24, at 5:00 p.m.

The purpose of the special discussion is for committee members to hear an update regarding Goodwill’s ‘Another Way’ program, which was funded by Metro Council last year. The pilot program was designed to help connect Louisville’s homeless with work and housing opportunities.

Leaders of Goodwill Industries are expected to share how the pilot program is going, the number of individuals the team has helped, and what is needed to maintain the program in the future. Goodwill Industries Community Based Programming Director Kim Boyd-Lane, Another Way Program Manager Sharon Allgeier, and Chief Operating Officer Rena Sharpe will be in attendance.
