Louisville Parks and Recreation is offering camp programming during the first week of April to provide youth an adventurous and active spring break.
Taking place at three Community Centers throughout the city, camp programs will offer kids fun and unique experiences with opportunities to discover new interests, participate in arts and crafts, explore the outdoors, meet new friends and learn different skills.

Louisville Parks and Recreation is offering camp programming during the first week of April to provide youth an adventurous and active spring break.
Taking place at three Community Centers throughout the city, camp programs will offer kids fun and unique experiences with opportunities to discover new interests, participate in arts and crafts, explore the outdoors, meet new friends and learn different skills. 

“Attending one of Louisville Parks and Recreation’s camps is a great opportunity for kids to keep their minds and bodies active during the break,” said Mayor Greg Fischer.

Community Centers offering spring break camps are Beechmont (205 West Wellington Ave), Berrytown (1300 Heafer Road) and Southwick (3621 Southern Ave). Weeklong camps will take place April 4-8 and areas of focus for campers to choose from include arts, sports, and nature. 
“Learning and socializing plays a critical role in the lives of young people,” said Acting Director Margaret Brosko. “We look forward to welcoming youth to our Community Centers during the break for a fun-filled week.” 
Details regarding each camp can be found below and those interested in participating should visit bestparksever.com to register before March 25th, as spots are limited. All recommended COVID-19 guidelines implemented by Louisville Metro Public Health and Wellness will be followed to ensure the health and safety of all campers and staff.

The week will round out with an exclusive trip to the largest cave system in the world at Kentucky’s very own, Mammoth Cave National Park.
Dates/Times: M-F (4/4-4/8), 8:30a.m. – 5:00p.m.
Thursday (4/7), Mammoth Cave Adventure, 8:00a.m. – 8:00p.m.
Ages: 9-12 years

This multi-sports camp is perfect for the athlete who enjoys a variety of sports and recreational games. All participants will compete in multiple sports while enhancing their skills, techniques, and sportsmanship. Basketball, flag football, team handball, and ultimate frisbee are just a few of the activities that will be offered to campers.
