Greater Louisville Inc. president and CEO, Sarah Davasher-Wisdom, issued the following statement on Kentucky Senate Bill 10, which passed out of the Senate Health & Welfare Committee on Wednesday:

“Greater Louisville Inc. is proud to support Senate Bill 10 which will address the chronic nursing workforce shortage in Kentucky. SB 10 would aid in getting more healthcare professionals into the field faster by lifting limits on enrollment for nursing schools and expanding state reciprocity for nurses.  This is critical as Kentucky’s healthcare workforce shortage has been sharply exacerbated by the pandemic. GLI applauds the Senate Health & Welfare committee for swiftly passing this legislation and encourages passage in both chambers to help combat the shortage of healthcare professionals in the region.“
