1. Police respond to disturbance at Woodlawn Leadership Academy (ksla.com) — Shreveport families should know that a fight involving five male students at Woodlawn High School led to multiple arrests and a heavy Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office response Thursday morning. Deputies used pepper spray and a taser to stop the disturbance, with one student treated for non-life-threatening injuries and others taken to Caddo Correctional Center. Investigators are still working to determine the motive.
   

2. Superintendent Burton set to speak at LSUS graduation (ktalnews.com) — Shreveport graduates at LSU Shreveport will hear from Caddo Parish Schools Superintendent Keith Burton at commencement on December 19. Burton, an LSUS alum, plans to highlight the district’s recent academic gains and encourage new grads to consider teaching or alternative certification pathways right here in the parish.
   

3. 50 Cent's Shreveport dream closer to reality council approves non-profit corporation (wgno.com) — Shreveport’s City Council has approved a new film and entertainment economic development corporation that could steer up to $50 million in state funds into local studios and venues. The state-managed board will oversee upgrades to facilities like G-Unit Studios and Stageworks, aiming to boost jobs, tourism, and Jackson’s vision of turning Shreveport into a major entertainment hub.
   

4. Second teen being charged as adult in armed robbery at Shreveport apartment complex (ksla.com) — Two 16-year-olds are being charged as adults after an armed robbery of a 62-year-old woman at the Millicent Way apartments in south Shreveport. Police say the teens stole her phone, keys, and car, later recovered in the MLK area, and community tips helped officers quickly track down one suspect and identify the other.
   

5. Shreveport's SporTran announces new apprenticeship program (wgno.com) — SporTran is launching a new paid apprenticeship program in Shreveport to train the next generation of transit mechanics and professionals, with full benefits and long-term career potential. Leaders say the initiative is an investment in people and the future of Shreveport-Bossier transit, especially as the system adopts more environmentally friendly technologies.
