Armed Man Forces Woman Into His Car, Sexually Assaults Her: PGPD

LANHAM, MD -- A man forced a woman into his car at gunpoint and then drove her to a parking lot in Lanham where he sexually assaulted her, police say.

Police were called to a local hospital at around 8:30 p.m. on June 24 to a report of a sexual assault. Once there, the victim told detectives she was walking in the area of Cipriano Road and Tuckerman Street at around 4 a.m. that morning when a man approached her, threatened her with a gun, and then forced her into his car, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.

He then drove her to a nearby parking lot and sexually assaulted her before fleeing the scene, the report states.

Detectives "worked around the clock" to identify the man, and eventually charged 35-year-old Kalvine McGee with first degree rape, first and second degree assault, and several other charges, according to the report. Police say he admitted to the attack.

He is being held without bond.
