A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. Police say a man armed with a hammer robbed a sex shop in the Joppa area Saturday evening.  At about 6:17 p.m., in the 12000 block of Pulaski Highway, a man entered the Love Craft store, threatened workers with a hammer and stole some property. No one was injured during the robbery, according to Baltimore County police.  No description of the suspect or property stolen was immediately available.  As of 8 p.m., the investigation into the robbery was ongoing, police said.  The Joppa community is almost entirely included in Harford County, although a small portion is included in Baltimore County. The store's location is in Baltimore County, north of White Marsh and Kingsville.  The Harford County Sheriff's Office confirmed that they were working with Baltimore County in investigating the robbery.  Love Craft is a Baltimore metro area chain that sells pornography, lingerie and sex toys.
