PHOTOS: Perry Hall Tree Lighting Welcomes Christmas
Perry Hall Elementary School students sang holiday songs during the annual tree lighting with the Perry Hall Improvement Association.
Held later in the season than in past years, and combined with the school's winter concert, Perry Hall Elementary School hosted its annual tree lighting ceremony Tuesday evening with the Perry Hall Improvement Association.
Fifth grade students and kindergartners presented a singing and speaking program. This year, in a change from tradition, after Santa appeared, a Christmas tree was lit inside the school's auditorium rather than outside in the lawn between the school and Belair Road.
Dennis M. Robinson, Jr., president of the PHIA, released the following statement:

I thank Principal Donna Bergin and the Perry Hall Elementary School community for inviting me to the annual holiday concert and tree lighting. As far as I am concerned, there is no better way to start the holiday season than to listen to these talented young musicians and singers performing traditional holiday songs. The only person who could leave this event and not be in the holiday spirit is green and lives near Whoville.
Special thanks to David Bailey of Turtle Bailey Photography who contributed photos from the event.
