A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. Baltimore County police are investigating a burglary and theft of firearms from a Kingsville home.  Between 2:30 p.m. and 2:40 p.m. on Jan. 8, in the 10800 block of Pfeffers Road, a man entered an unlocked door to a home and stole a shotgun, pistol and rifle—worth a combined value of $1,900, according to a police report. A neighbor described the suspect as a white male, between 18 and 20 years old, with dark hair, and said he was dropped off in front of the home in a dark blue SUV and then picked up 10 minutes later, the police report showed.  Police urge residents to properly store and secure their firearms. They also ask residents to call 911 immediately if they see any suspicious persons or vehicles in their neighborhoods.
