Restaurant Reopening Soon After Pipe Burst Temporarily Closed Perry Hall Eatery
A restaurant is reopening soon in Perry Hall. The sprinkler pipes had burst, damaging the eatery. "We promise to get back up and running."

PERRY HALL, MD — A Perry Hall restaurant hopes to reopen next week, days after a busted pipe drenched the eatery with water damage.
River Stone Grill, located at 8720 Cowenton Ave., said multiple sprinkler pipes burst on Saturday night. The business hopes to reopen on Tuesday afternoon.
"We have started working on putting everything back together," River Stone Grill said Thursday on Facebook. "We will have a progress update over the weekend and will keep everyone posted on the reopening date and time. Thank you again for all the continued support!"

Photos from the scene show that the leak ate through a chunk of the ceiling, soaking the dining room floor.
"We are extremely grateful that nobody was injured during this unfortunate event. Buildings can be rebuilt," River Stone Grill said Sunday on Facebook.

The American restaurant, located in Cowenton Crossing, opened in November 2023. As a relatively new establishment, the outpouring of support made River Stone Grill feel right at home.
"It really makes us feel welcome in the neighborhood, and we're just glad that everybody wants us to be back," Owner Michael Depalo told WMAR.
Depalo told WMAR he hopes for swift repairs.
"It's not a ton of damage; you can replace drywall and a lot of things relatively quickly," Depalo said, according to WMAR.
River Stone Grill asked customers to support its neighbors at Pizzeria 081, which wasn't damaged.
"We promise to get back up and running as quickly as possible," River Stone Grill said Sunday. "We can't wait to welcome you all again! We are feeling the love from this community and that really means a lot!"
River Stone Grill said its customers "moved calmly [and] treated our staff with kindness during a chaotic event."
The restaurant also thanked the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company for its assistance.
"We are fortunate to be able to help our neighbors when bad things happen. This includes our neighborhood businesses. When they get back up and running, River Stone Grill is a great local business to support," WMVFC said Sunday on Facebook.
