A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. Police say they are still investigating a destructive device made out of a tennis ball and left near a Perry Hall Manor mailbox.  Between 8 p.m. and 8:10 p.m. on Dec. 30, in the 9800 block of Fox Hill Road, a homeowner saw someone pull up to his mailbox on a motorcycle. Moments later, he saw a small explosion, according to Officer Mark Dorsey of the Parkville police precinct. Baltimore County police bomb squad investigators responded and found a tennis ball with aluminium foil and a chemical, Dorsey said.  No one was injured and no serious damage to the area was reported, Dorsey said.  The investigation into the device is ongoing, he said, and it is unknown if the home was specifically targeted. Multiple <a href="https://perryhall.patch.com/search?keywords=bottle+bombs" rel="nofollow">bottle bomb incidents</a> have been reported in the Perry Hall area in recent years.  Dorsey urged anyone who sees what they believe may be a destructive device, created using a ball, bottle or other container, to report the object by calling 911 immediately.
