Two Perry Hall Home Break-Ins Under Investigation

Police are looking into any possible connections between a burglary and attempted burglar last week.

Two Perry Hall home burglaries between Jan. 12 and Jan. 19 remain under investigation, Baltimore County police said.

Between midnight on Jan. 12 and 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 19, in the 4300 block of Piney Park Road, the glass portion of a basement door to a vacant home was broken. The deadbolt, however, prevented anyone from entering the home, a police report shows. 

Between 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 18, in the 4300 block of Penn Avenue, the glass portion of a basement door was broken and a person entered the home and ransacked rooms. About $1,500 in cash and $800 in jewelry were stolen, according to a police report.

The incidents occurred about 2.5 miles apart, and both involved breaking glass on a basement door. Police said they are investigating any possible connections between the incidents.

They urge residents to report any suspicious people or vehicles in their neighborhoods immediately.
