WHITE MARSH, MD — A $100,000 jackpot cured the boredom of a White Marsh woman who played a scratch-off to pass the time, the Maryland Lottery announced Tuesday.

While her husband was at work, the woman was feeling a little bored. She headed to Royal Farms and bought a Bingo X10 scratch-off ticket to pass the time. That ticket turned out to be a top-prize winner.

The anonymous winner said she occasionally plays Powerball and Mega Millions, but she's particularly fond of $5 and $10 Bingo and crossword scratchers.

The victor matched numbers on the “twist” on Card No. 8, earning her the top prize.

The woman told lottery officials she had to look three times, because as often as she has played the Bingo scratch-off, she's never before matched numbers in the twist.

The winner doesn't have any plans for her newfound fortune. She has worked for 25 years in the medical insurance field, but she isn't ready to retire.

Royal Farms, located in White Marsh at 10740 Pulaski Highway, will collect a $1,000 bonus for selling the jackpot-winning ticket.

This was the first top prize sold on the eighth edition of this ticket since it launched in March. There are still five jackpots and several smaller prizes remaining.
