Dawson's Market To Close Rockville Store: Report
Dawson's Market at 225 N. Washington St. in Rockville Town Square will shut down operations at the end of June, a report said.
ROCKVILLE, MD — After 12 years in business, Dawson’s Market at 225 N. Washington St. in Rockville Town Square will shutter at the end of June.
The specialty store featured organic products and offered local produce, gourmet cheeses, fresh baked bread, meat, seafood, beer, and wine. The shop also has a café/juice bar, salad bar, and hot/prepared food bar.
Owner Bart Yablonsky gave a statement to The MOCO Show, that said in part: “It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you of some very unfortunate news. Dawson’s Market will be closing at the end of June. Over the past 12+ years, we have poured our hearts and souls into Dawson’s. Since taking ownership in late 2018, I have been dedicated to keeping the store running, providing meaningful employment opportunities for our staff, including our special needs individuals, and delivering quality food and service to our loyal customers."

The market had a second location in Washington's Dupont Circle from June 2021 to June 2023, the website said.
The Dawson's Market mission statement has been: “Celebrating community through local and organic food.”
