MCPS Makes Weather Decision For Thursday, March 22
BREAKING: School officials have announced plans in Montgomery County for Thursday, March 22, after Wednesday's snowfall.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD – Schools in Montgomery County will open two hours late on Thursday, March 22, officials said. The delay comes after Wednesday's snowstorm.
Bus service will be provided on a two-hour-delayed schedule. MCPS will continue to monitor the roadways and determine if school closure is necessary. An announcement will be made by 7 a.m. Thursday.
Morning prekindergarten, morning half-day Head Start, other morning half-day programs and field trips are canceled. Other activities and programs that begin at 10:50 a.m. or earlier are canceled. Administrative offices will open on time.

Day care programs in school buildings may remain open as scheduled.
Snow is still falling in the D.C. region, but the show is probably just about over for us as far as accumulation is concerned, the Capital Weather Gang said. Snow will likely to continue into evening but lessen in intensity, becoming more spotty between 4 and 6 p.m. from southwest to northeast.

Accumulation will slow, allowing road conditions to improve. Snowfall ranges from 2 to 6 inches by late Wednesday afternoon, but higher amounts are possible, especially east and northeast of Washington.
