Student Caught With Knives At Richard Montgomery High School

A Richard Montgomery student was charged for allegedly bringing knives to campus, but officials didn't report the incident to the community.

ROCKVILLE, MD — A senior at Richard Montgomery High School was charged for allegedly bringing knives to campus, but administrators didn't report the incident to the school community, a report from ABC7 says.

The report says Carlos Ruben Castillo Jr., 18, was found with three knives at the school on Friday, Feb. 23. He was charged with having a dangerous weapon on school property and concealing a dangerous weapon.

Administrators called Castillo Jr.'s mother, who picked him up from school. But, according to ABC7, school officials never alerted parents or students about the arrest.
